Judge David Briones administering the oath of office to newly appointed Judge Chris Antliff

In early December 2008, local attorney Chris Antcliff was appointed by Governor Rick Perry as Judge of the 168th District Court here in El Paso.  Back on November 16, 2007 United States District Judge David Briones administered the oath of office for the 448th District Court.  He was the judge of the 448th District Court from November 2007 - December 2008.  Judge Antcliff was a law clerk to Judge Briones from 1995 - 1997.  His formal investiture took place in January, 2008 and was attended by more than 200 people.

As an El Pasoan and someone who dearly loves this city, I believe that Governor Perry has again picked the perfect man for this job.  As a community we need to “Keep Judge Antcliff” in the `168th District Court.  Judge Antcliff is a fair and even-handed judge who is better qualified and has more experience than his opponent.

I hope that you will join me, along with family and friends in November and vote to “Keep Judge Antcliff”.  I am honored to host this website so that others might learn more about him.

On November 2, 2010 I ask that you vote for the more experienced, better qualified person.  Vote to Keep Judge Antcliff on the bench in the 168th District Court.  Shawn Abel
